Teleroute and Giraud enter into a Partnership Agreement

Teleroute, Europe’s leading on-line freight and vehicle exchange service and Giraud International, a leader in the transport market have enhanced their existing relationship by creating a Partnership aimed at improving Giraud’s utilization of the Teleroute freight exchange.

The Partnership offers Posting Interface Automation (PIA) which means posting information is automatically made available from Giraud’s Information System to all the platforms of the Teleroute Freight Exchange in over 40 countries. As a result, Giraud International considerably increases its productivity across Europe by keeping information efficient and accurate, thereby saving time and money. The Partnership also includes a European pricing structure and Teleroute benefits from an increase of its freight exchange liquidity. The two companies have created a steering committee to manage the roll out of this solution.

“We decided to work with Teleroute because they were the only ones able to help us in all these European countries” said Fabrice de Biasio, ICT Director from Giraud International. “Thanks to Teleroute we are going to enlarge our freight potential and improve our customers’ satisfaction.”

“This Partnership is continued proof that Teleroute can propose personalized solutions to its customers, particularly on a European scale,” said Raimundo Diaz, Teleroute CEO. “Since the signing of this Partnership on May first, 90% of Giraud’s 62 sites have already been activated and are using the new system. This shows the flexibility of the Teleroute solution and the reactivity of our teams.”

Giraud International was started in 1934. In anticipation of the expansion of the European Union, Giraud has been consistently enlarging its operations in Europe. The company entered Russia in 1994, Finland in 1998 and Poland in 2000. Today, the company has 62 sites in 13 countries including Spain, Hungary and Sweden.

Teleroute continues to expand across Europe, recently entering Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia. Today, Teleroute is actively present in 20 countries. It has 35,000 users posting and consulting 56,000 freight offers every day resulting in freight transport to and from over 40 European countries including Norway, Poland, Italy and the UK.
