Teleroute opens full service office in Italy
January 2, 2003: Teleroute, the leading European freight and vehicle exchange service has expanded its operations by opening a full-time office in Italy. Teleroute Italia started business in Milan on 1 January 2003.
Teleroute is present in 17 countries and has been operational on the Italian market under a license agreement since 1990. Today, Teleroute has started to manage the Italian market directly.
“Because of its size and structural evolution over time, Italy is a strategic market in Europe,” says Raimundo Diaz, Teleroute CEO. “It is important for Teleroute to be in direct contact with this market, in order to ensure that its requirements and specificities get the required attention. This expansion allows us to offer the same consistent level of service to all our customers across Europe.”
The integration of the Italian market into Teleroute’s operations is part of a process initiated in 2000, with the creation of the European head office in Brussels. Since its creation, Teleroute has been methodically expanding across Europe, with the recuperation of Switzerland in 2000, the opening of Teleroute in Poland in 2001, the integration of Spain and Portugal in 2002 and now Italy in 2003.
Teleroute is the most creative freight exchange in Europe, continuously expanding its product offering around freight exchange and improving the product. In the coming months, Teleroute will introduce a wide range of products on the Italian market that all aim to serve every segment of the transport market, from the largest logistics groups to the smallest transporters.
“Teleroute Italia is a structure oriented at the customer: there is a sales force in the field, aimed at staying close to the customer and supporting him in his day-to-day activities, as well as a customer support team that is there to answer all questions,” says Annick Monseux, Country Manager of Teleroute Italia. “Teleroute has always emphasised the need for personal relationships with its customers and this approach has proven correct for over 15 years.”
