Partner helps customers choose their own business contacts

June 10, 2003:
Teleroute, the leading European freight and vehicle exchange has enhanced its product portfolio with the release of Partner, a unique service designed to improve freight management.

Partner makes working with trusted contacts faster and easier. Partner allows freight forwarders to send a freight offer to up to five preferred contacts, in the recipient’s language, and in the sequence specified by the forwarder. The contacts can be Teleroute or non-Teleroute users. The offer is created only once and can be transmitted at different times to different addresses and in 12 different languages. The forwarder transmits the offer from his computer to his contact’s fax machine or through Teleroute messaging if the recipient is a Teleroute user thereby saving on telecommunication costs. Each recipient is given a specified amount of time to respond. If he doesn’t, then the offer goes to the next “partner” and eventually into the open Teleroute Freight Exchange, if none of the preferred “partners” choose to negotiate for the freight.

“Partner is additional proof that Teleroute listens and responds to its clients’ needs,” says Raimundo Diaz, Teleroute CEO. “With Partner we are answering the request to create a private network of contacts before offering freight in the general freight exchange. As Teleroute continues to expand its presence into additional European countries, this service also addresses the need for instant translation. The lines of communication must remain open and accessible in all languages.”

Partner requires no installation. It is immediately available on Teleroute Web and Teleroute PC (in France).
