Promotion comes from within the organization

Teleroute, the leading European freight and vehicle exchange service has announced the appointment of Alain Vernadat as Country Manager for Teleroute France.

Alain Vernadat is in charge of the general management of Teleroute France. He replaces Tamara Leylavergne who was Country Manager for two years before being offered a new management position within Wolters Kluwer, Teleroute’s parent company.

Mr. Vernadat joined Teleroute France in 2000 as Infocenter Manager. He was in charge of all products not directly connected to the freight and vehicle exchange. They include Transport Village, a portal for the transport industry; Flash Transport, an electronic magazine for the transport industry; and KM, a state-of-the art route planner for road transport professionals.

Teleroute started in France in 1985. Today it operates in 17 countries amounting to over 120 tons of freight being transported each year.

Mr. Vernadat, 39, has a degree in Engineering from Arts et Metiers and a degree in Company Management from Paris University. In 1991 he created VR Technology in Paris, where he was General Manager and Technical Manager. VR Technology was a leader in small market network infrastructure management.

“Joining Teleroute was a logical step in my career,” commented Alain Vernadat. “We are very committed to product development and that requires attention be given to four performance areas: maintenance, technical, operational and financial. The challenge is great.”

“France is a key market in the Teleroute organization and I feel confident in Alain’s ability to continue moving the operation forward,” said Raimundo Diaz, Teleroute CEO. “His past managerial experience coupled with product experience makes him the logical person to run the operation in France while actively contributing to the European development of the Teleroute organization.”
